The free education announcement by the government will increase the
enrolment numbers across all universities and technical colleges of
South Africa. Without a doubt, the government will reach its Vision 2030
target of having 1.5 million students enrolled across all institutions
of higher learning in the country. In addition, the government has
compelled itself to cover all costs associated with fees and subsidies
to cater for the increased numbers.
In our school(WSU) it is clear free education announcement has led to many abrupts, as a result sinking number of students are still out of accomodations... This announcement made the university to enroll plenty of students this year. 😒😒😒 It is said that the are still rooms that are empty but there's a number of students who are out of accomodations.

I have seen this and I think it needs a closer look that, it is not possible to ford life @ varsity if you are out of Res... I was once a victim take it from.
ReplyDeleteThe government should take it into consideration (in WSU) about the student's accommodation and the free education part because not all of the institutions in the country are for free...
ReplyDeleteThis accommodation issue has to do with corruption in the management of the school,,I have heard people saying that people in management are renting some of rooms and they are also allocating their relatives.
ReplyDeleteThis is true bra. the deserving students are now subject to bribery... Just now here at Decant a male student almost die because he denies to leave a particurlar that he allocated himself to while the wardens were delaying allocation
DeleteThis is a crisis that needs to be taken into consideration because other students are falling behind with their work as they are still registering and running around looking for rooms because of the huge enrolment of students.
ReplyDeleteAll students need accommodation so that they can feel free and protected, the person reliable for accommodation must do her/his work so as to make everyone comfortable.
